20 Idiotic Decisions Made By Characters In Quentin Tarantino Movies

3. Beaumont Gets In The Trunk Of Ordell's Car (Jackie Brown)

Anyone who thinks that Jackie Brown is "Tarantino lite" needs to remember this hilarious scene between Ordell and one of his cash couriers, Beaumont Livingston (Chris Tucker). Beaumont has been arrested, and Ordell is well aware that he will likely snitch in order to avoid jail time, so he pays for his bail, and then asks him to come help him deal some guns to a gang of Koreans. He tells Beaumont that he needs him to get into the trunk of his car and hold a shotgun, in order to intimidate the Koreans and show that they mean business, but Beaumont doesn't seem so keen to get inside a "dirty a** trunk". Ordell hilariously retorts with, "I got a problem with spending $10,000 on an ungrateful, peanut-head n***er to get him out of jail, but I did it", before convincing Beaumont to get in the trunk with the promises of a free meal after they're done. However, Ordell slams the trunk, puts on some gloves, drives around the corner and shoots him twice, killing him. Beaumont wasn't a particularly smart cookie in the first place, but this clearly was a terrible idea.
