You probably know that Christopher Nolan crashed a real Boeing 747 into a building for one of Tenet's most exciting set-pieces, thought you might not know that the director also makes a subtle "cameo" in the movie.

Composer Ludwig Göransson opted to incorporate Nolan's own breathing into the soundtrack, by having the filmmaker breathe heavily into a microphone which he then manipulated digitally.

The result is a discomforting rasp most apparent on the track "Sator," named of course after Kenneth Branagh's terrifying villain.

As much as Nolan is a relatively retiring figure and not one to "Hitchcock himself" into his movies, this was a fun way for him to be directly involved in the film's stylistic identity.
