Robert Downey Jr.'s first post-MCU blockbuster Dolittle is destined to be remembered for all the wrong reasons - an embarrassing shambles of an IP reboot which failed in every way that a film of this sort possibly can.

It didn't take long for the juicy post-mortem articles to arrive, with The Hollywood Reporting offering up an especially fascinating deep-dive into what went wrong.

Beyond confirming that Syriana director Stephen Gaghan was way in over his head and the film was hugely tinkered with in post-production, the report also stated that the now-infamous "dragon colonoscopy" scene was actually the brainchild of Downey himself, who suggested it at the last minute.

Though the final cut of the film sees Dolittle removing bagpipes and a suit of armour from the dragon's rectal cavity, the original plan was for him to remove a "boulder-sized stool" instead. Incredible.
