Believe it or not, Tom Hardy appeared as an extra in The Matrix Resurrections.

Because the fourth Matrix film was shooting in San Francisco at the same time as Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Hardy was able to appear as part of the "bot" mob chasing after Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) in the film's climax.

Also part of the swarm of extras was one of the film's stars, Jessica Henwick, who said of running alongside Hardy:

"We were filming in San Francisco at the same time as Venom 2, and I met Tom Hardy... And so, Tom Hardy and I are running in the background of one of the scenes. And I'm so curious to see whether it made the cut."

While it doesn't seem that Hardy is actually visible in the final cut of the movie, he was technically on set as an extra.

On the other hand, helicopters featured in the climax of Let There Be Carnage weren't actually intended to be there, but in fact part of The Matrix Resurrections' shoot in the same area.

But rather than wait for the choppers to clear out, director Andy Serkis decided they'd add even more flavour and production value to his scene.
