2. Ghostbusters/Groundhog Day
The last two films were a showcase for the hilarity that John Belushi can bring to a film while these two are a showcase for Bill Murray's comedic sensibilities. Bill Murray is one of the very few comedic geniuses who continues to reinvent himself even to this ay with his work with Wes Anderson. However, Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day are really where he shines the most in his career. The stark contrast of the narratives of the two films is hilarious by itself. Ghostbusters is a completely ridiculous movie that focuses on the exploits of a team of paranormal investigators that culminates in one of the most ridiculous third acts in movie history. Groundhog Day, on the other hand, is a simple story of a man who is forced to repeat the same day over and over again that is written to perfect comedic effect. The cast situation is also similar to Animal House and The Blues Brothers since Ghostbusters is more of an ensemble and Groundhog day is basically a one man show.
