6. "Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist" - The Avengers
It is easy to lose count to how many "oh, I'm from the past look how out of touch I am with this modern world" or "no seriously, you REALLY wouldn't like me when I am angry" jokes are thrown at you in Joss Whedon's epic from 2012. But one thing he writes well and with great aplomb is sparky, slick lines. Anyone who can make a Shakespearian slur offensive ("Mewling quim" - Check the 'Urban Dictionary' definition of such, you will not be disappointed) in the modern world must be doing something right. Nothing is quite as entertaining as when Cap asks Tony Stark what he would be without the tin suit that makes him the hero he is. Stark doesn't even blink before delivering the killer line that will be forever remembered in the hearts of Marvel fans everywhere: "Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist".
