From I Spit On Your Grave to Baise Moi, the rape/revenge movie genre has always been something that drew its fair share of criticism. However, Felt aims to put a new, never-before-seen spin on the genre. The film follows Amy (Amy Everson), a troubled young lady who creates an alter ego in hopes of overcoming the trauma inflicted by men in her life. Director Jason Banker has already showed us that he has a unique way of making movies. In his debut, Toad Road, Becker follows real people around with his camera, getting into their lives and then creating a story within that. The result is something so completely naturalistic its not clear where reality ends and fiction begins. You can most certainly expect the same sort of thing this time around. Sample review (via The Film Stage):
"By the shocking conclusion, we fully grasp just why a film can affect us so much. People do cruel things to each other every day. Whether this is a revenge narrative or not, the way in which Felt works is truly unsettling"
