1. "Mediocre!" - Mad Max: Fury Road
The Line: The villainous Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne) tells Nux (Nicholas Hoult) that if he can reclaim one of his pregnant "wives" (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), then he personally will carry Nux to the Gates of Valhalla. Nux attempts to board the wives' vehicle, though gets his chain caught in a grill and nearly slips off the car, causing Joe to shout, "Mediocre!" Why It's Awesome: It's such a bizarre and eccentric thing to say when someone screws up, and has already entered the pop-culture lexicon outside of the movie. A film wasn't that great? Your boss is making you work late? Your favourite sports team lost? Just shout "Mediocre!" That and Keays-Byrne's delivery is amazingly terrifying and hilarious all at the same time.
