Martin McDonagh's masterful black comedy is so jam-packed with thrillingly acidic dialogue that it's hard to pick just one line.

Still, the most savage exchange in the entire film takes place when Frances McDormand's Angela Hayes has a fiery argument with her son, Robbie.

She declares that Robbie's never on her side, and he hilariously tells her, "I am on your side, when you’re not being a c***."

Angela warns him, "There will be no more 'c***s' in this house", to which Robbie retorts with the devastating one-liner, "What, are you moving out?"

It's a line that's had audiences both laughing and cringing at how shockingly raw and hurtful it is. But like most of the movie, it has an uncomfortable layer of honesty underneath it all.
