15. John Glen's Weird Director Trademarks - Various
No one would really blame you for missing five-time Bond helmer John Glen's directorial trademarks, mostly because they're so obscure. He's the man responsible - as editor - for Moonraker's double-taking pigeon, and when he was promoted to director for For Your Eyes Only, Glen decided to take his bird obsession to the next level, by having four of his five Bond films feature a scene in which 007 is startled by the sudden flight of a pigeon or pigeons. All of Glen's Bond films also feature a villain falling from a height to their death, with the same scream sound effect used each time (making it Glen's very own version of the Wilhelm scream). So even though For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View To A Kill, The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill are all fairly anonymously directed, they each bear Glen's (pretty odd) signature.
