20 James Bond Easter Eggs You Never Noticed

13. Clearing House - The Living Daylights

With a new Bond cast in Timothy Dalton, The Living Daylights makes a subtle point both of referencing the Bond franchise's history and indicating the change in actor: in the opening sequence, actors Frederick Warder and Glyn Baker play 00 agents alongside Dalton. The point of casting them was to toy with audience expectations, as Warder and Baker - whose spies are unceremoniously killed at the start of the film - strongly resembled George Lazenby and Roger Moore Interestingly, The Living Daylights was written with Roger Moore in mind, with the assumption being that he would return for one more film. Instead, a stand-in of Moore gets shot and killed in the first few minutes, along with a Lazenby lookalike, essentially clearing the way for the new Bond to step in.
