20 Mind-Blowing Easter Eggs Hidden In Your Favorite Horror Films

Speaking of versus movies, the first Alien vs. Predator didn't hit theaters until 2004, but the idea was hinted at all the way back in 1990's Predator 2.

During a scene taking place in the Predator's trophy room, if you look closely you can actually see a Xenomorph's skull hanging on the wall, teasing this conflict between the two creatures.

Of course, the Alien vs. Predator comics did exist at the time, so the movie was basically giving a nod to that and also hinting that it might eventually be adapted into a movie. It was like the horror equivalent of Captain America's shield popping up in Iron Man 2.

Everyone became obsessed with this concept of the two species battling, and so all throughout the '90s there were Alien vs. Predator related things including more comic books and video games. Somehow, the film ended up being pretty late to the AvP party.

Oh, and it also sucked.
