It’s not just Romero himself who has made a few sneaky cameos in the Living Dead movies.
The director loved Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg’s Shaun of the Dead so much that he invited them to join the cast of Land of the Dead. They play a pair of photo booth zombies that the still living can pay to have their picture taken with for sh*ts and giggles.
Diary of the Dead may not have had many familiar faces but did feature plenty of familiar voices – film industry and horror genre talents including Quentin Tarantino, Stephen King, Wes Craven, Guillermo del Toro and Simon Pegg (again) all had cameo voiceover roles as newsreaders.
