20 Mind-Blowing Facts About The Dark Knight Trilogy
3. Kick-Ass Writer Mark Millar Got In Trouble When He Visited The Set Of The Dark Knight
Mark Millar is best known for his work at Marvel and for creating properties like Kick-Ass, Kingsman and The Ultimates. Wanted is of course another one of his hits, and it was while the big screen adaptation of that comic book was being shot in Chicago that Millar ended up being invited to the set of The Dark Knight by writer and producer David Goyer. Unfortunately, the Scottish writer ended up getting himself into trouble while he was there for deciding to take a seat on the Bat-Pod. "Chris Nolan and Emma Thomas caught me sitting on the Bat-Pod just before I left and without permission," Millar revealed. "Total shame. From pro to geek. Literally asked by a security guy to get off and get behind the line." This probably isn't why Millar has never taken a crack at Batman for DC Comics, but it's a safe bet to assume that he didn't receive an invite to the set of The Dark Knight Rises a few years later.
