6. Godzilla's Gender Is Actually In Dispute
Godzilla is almost universally thought of as being a male, and most people refer to him as such. So it might come as a surprise that Godzillas gender is actually questionable. In the Japanese versions of the films, Godzilla is always referred to with gender-neutral pronouns like it. However, American dubs and the 2014 version specifically refer to him with male pronouns like he and him. The fact that Godzilla has had a child during various points of the franchise only muddles it even further. Some even think Godzilla is a hermaphrodite, while others prefer to not bring gender into it at all. Basically, Godzilla can be what you want it to be, and that is a great and inclusive element of the character.
