16. Godzilla Is A Total Sellout
It may seem like the film industry is in a constant and perpetual state of sequels and reboots, but Godzilla was selling out and rushing sequels long before it became trendy. The second film in the franchise, Godzilla Raids Again, was scripted, filmed, and released a mere 6 months after the original hit theaters in Japan. Nowadays its not even possible for a sequel to a blockbuster to be made that quickly. Audiences saw through this obvious cash in, and the film, while not a total bomb, failed to satisfy, resulting in the series being put on ice for 7 years until King Kong vs. Godzilla in 1962.
