20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Pixar
1. Rejected Toy Story Titles Included Toyz In The Hood
The name Toy Story has become so iconic that it's hard to imagine it being called anything else, but there's a whole series of potential titles that the studio nearly went with.
In fact, Toy Story was only the working title - Pixar asked all their employees to pitch what they thought the name should be. There were over 200 titles pitched, including: The New Toy, Made In Taiwan, To Infinity And Beyond, Bring Me The Arm Of Buzz Lightyear, Rex's First Movie, For The Love Of Peep, Toyz In The Hood, Each Sold Separately, Some Assembly Required, and The Favorite.
Some of those actually aren't bad, like Some Assembly Required, but Bring Me The Arm Of Buzz Lightyear? In addition to being way too long, that's such a specific reference so you'd have to see the full movie before even getting what the title meant. Seems like they made the right call with just sticking with Toy Story.
