20 Mistakes You Probably Missed In Ghostbusters Movies

2. Don€™t Cross The Streams!

There€™s pretty much only one rule established in Ghostbusters: no matter what, never, ever cross the streams, because it would facilitate the immediate and swift end of existence, with €œall life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.€ Basically, it would be very bad, to paraphrase Egon, who then seems to wilfully ignore his own rule at the end of the film when trying to take down Gozer. Despite knowing that existence will be destroyed, Egon suggests crossing the streams, which only results in an explosion that kills Gozer and the Stay Puft monster (but is somehow unfatal to the four mortals who create it). So, basically, either Egon lied or the film did.
