19. Jared Leto's Introductory Scene As The Joker (Suicide Squad)
The Moment: The Joker's (Jared Leto) first appearance in the movie, rumoured to take place in a prison of some kind, as he's convinced to join the Suicide Squad by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). When It Will Happen: Right at the start of the movie, given that he's the feature attraction even if he's not necessarily the protagonist. Why It Will Define The Movie: Because Heath Ledger's Joker left such a lasting impact on audiences and the genre as a whole that Leto faces an immense uphill struggle to distinguish himself as the character. Thankfully, from the jaw-dropping image writer-director David Ayer posted of Leto in full Joker make-up, it looks like they're shooting for a completely different take which will thankfully make it more difficult to even try and compare the two. Every comic book fan worth their salt will be on the edge of their seat waiting for his first appearance in Suicide Squad.
