20 Moments That Will Define Upcoming Marvel Movies
3. Drax The Destroyer Kills Thanos (Guardians Of The Galaxy 3)
We're looking a long way ahead in this entry, to a movie that isn't yet definitely going to happen (the only such entry on the list), but it's hard not to include what will be a pivotal potential moment in the grand scheme of things in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Drax the Destroyer has already been introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy, while Thanos has been around since his first appearance in the mid-credits scene of the Avengers movie. In the comics, Drax was created for the specific purpose of killing Thanos and, after Ronan was disposed of in Guardians of the Galaxy, he suggested that Thanos is his next target. Assuming Thanos comes away from Avengers 3 alive - like he did in the Infinity Gauntlet comic book arc - he will still be at large and will probably make a nuisance of himself again in Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Drax killing him and finally getting rid of him from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will signal the end of an era and will likely form a path for a whole new bunch of heroes and villains to be introduced.
