17. Ultron Turns On Humanity (Avengers: Age Of Ultron)

In the same San Diego Comic Con footage, Ultron apparently approaches the Avengers and, in the unmistakable voice of James Spader, he tells them that he must exterminate them. During the aforementioned scene in which the Avengers are trying to lift Mjolnir, the robotic villain apparently says:

How could you be worthy? You're all killers. You want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. There's only one path to peace: your extinction.

This sinister quote is said to be followed by Ultron attacking the Avengers, which is the moment that triggers the very struggle that the movie's title suggests. From that point onwards, the world is at war with Ultron and it is down solely to the Avengers to stop him.
