12. Doctor Doom's First Appearance (Fantastic Four)

One of the most disappointing things in the last pair of Fantastic Four movies - and indeed in any comic book movie to date - was the terrible depiction of Doctor Doom. Julian McMahon portrayed the character horribly, as one of the most iconic villains in comic book history was reduced to a whiny wet sap of a man. This time around, he will be played by Toby Kebbell of War Horse, Wrath of the Titans and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes fame, and comic book fans around the world will be praying he does the character justice. His first appearance as Doctor Doom on screen will go a long way to setting the tone of the character and that first impression will be the defining moment of the success of the new portrayal of the character - and potentially the movie as a whole.
