20 Most Anticipated 2017 Movies

What Is It? A sequel to the shock hit of 2015, The Secret Service, The Golden Circle will pick up with Eggsy (Taron Egerton) as a fully-fledged Kingsman agent, teaming up with US counterpart Stateside (chief agent: Channing Tatum) to go up against supervillain Julianne Moore. Somehow Colin Firth's back and Elton John's in it for some reason.

When's It Out? 16th June

Why Will It Be Awesome? The first Kingsman was an absolute delight and that a sequel is on the way is testament to how you can still launch of new franchise in the 2010s. By all estimations this looks to be a bigger version of the first, with Matthew Vaughn returning behind the camera to keep things feeling all nicely familiar.

Any Concerns? Kingsman did in many ways feel like Kick-Ass, but for spies, and (ignoring how dreck that series went awfully quickly) that may suggest there's not anywhere else for this franchise to go. There's also the issue of handling the return of Firth's Harry Hart; you don't want to cheapen his shock death from the original.
