What Is It? The first female-led solo superhero movie in the shared universe era, Wonder Woman fills in the origins of Gal Gadot's Diana Prince; her life in Themyscira and entering the human fray during World War I, teaming up with Chris Pine's Steve Trevor to take on some unknown threat, likely the thing from another world she referenced in Batman V Superman.

When's It Out? 2nd June

Why Will It Be Awesome? Beating Marvel to the feminist punch may give DC bragging rights, but that's not all Wonder Woman offers. It's heavily removed from the DCEU we've suffered through most far - already a positive - and the trailer suggested Patty Jenkins has gorgeous slow-mo action down. Gal Gadot's a solid fit for the lead role too, at least based on what we've seen so far, and the rest of the casting is pretty astute; Pine may be the best love interest in the genre.

Any Concerns? As with Justice League, this is still DC, who are three strikes down now. Much hope is being pinned on Wonder Woman to reverse their fortunes, but the same was true of Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad, and look how they turned out.
