First there was the Transformers franchise. Then GI Joe. Hell, we even saw a Battleship movie. Now, Hasbro brings us Ouija, a horror about a Ouija board. When a close friend is brutally killed in an accident, a group of friends decide to try and contact him via a Ouija board. Unfortunately for them, they realise that the board contains a demonic entity which will terrify and kill them as they realise that getting in touch with the other side is a very dangerous game indeed. The fact that this is a Hasbro horror perhaps gives it enough kitsch value for a good opening and, in true horror style, the director is ex-special effects guy Stiles White, who has worked with the Stan Winston Studio for years. Not much is known beyond this but a Halloween release pretty much ensures a healthy return from its budget.
