20 Most Anticipated Horror Movies of 2026

M. Night Shyamalan is an absolute workhorse of a filmmaker, and so it's little surprise that mere weeks after his polarising new film Trap was released, he revealed that he was hard at work penning the script for his upcoming 17th feature.

Though Shyamalan hasn't revealed any details about the project yet, given that the overwhelming majority of his filmography is horror-themed or horror-adjacent, it's easy to assume that he'll be returning to the genre once again here.

Considering his impressively fast writing and shooting style - having released six movies over the last decade, all of them commercially successful - his next project will almost certainly be filmed next year before dropping sometime in 2026.
