20 Most Anticipated Horror Movies of 2026

It might seem a little premature to start talking about the ninth entry into the V/H/S/ horror anthology franchise as the eighth hasn't even been filmed yet, but given the series' annualised release pattern in recent years and its popularity on horror streaming service Shudder, there's no reason to doubt its continuation.

Since 2021, V/H/S/ has released a new volume every single year, and while the quality of the individual shorts has undeniably been all over the map, there's a certain "no such thing as bad pizza" quality to the anthologies, that even at their worst they're fun to watch.

With the latest entry, V/H/S/Beyond, foraying into campy sci-fi horror, it'll certainly be interesting to see what future installments do with the formula.
