20 Most Anticipated Movies Still To Come In 2021

5. The Tragedy Of Macbeth

The Tragedy of Macbeth will be the first movie directed by just one of the Coen brothers - in this case Joel Coen, though that doesn't seem to be any reason to worry about the end result.

This adaptation of Shakespeare's legendary play will cast Denzel Washington as Lord Macbeth, paired opposite Frances McDormand as Lady Macbeth, in what should be one of the most distinctive Bard adaptations of all time.

Coen has shot the film in black-and-white and entirely on soundstages in order to give it a look "untethered from reality," while the supporting cast includes among its ranks Brendan Gleeson, Corey Hawkins, Harry Melling, Ralph Ineson, and Stephen Root.

Despite wrapping principal photography almost a year ago, we've still not seen a single image of the movie, which only adds to the fascinating mystique surrounding the project.

The Tragedy of Macbeth will release at an unspecified date later this year.
