20 Most Anticipated Movies Still To Come In 2021

6. Red Notice

The $200 million blockbuster Red Notice will be the most expensive Netflix Original in history when it releases near the end of the year, and given that it co-stars Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne Johnson, that's not terribly surprising.

Under director Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Intelligence, Skyscraper), Netflix is evidently hoping that Red Notice might be the start of a new tentpole franchise, and given the popularity of the three leads, it's tough to imagine it not breaking streaming viewing records.

Johnson stars as an Interpol agent who crosses paths with the world's greatest art thief (Gadot) and the world's greatest con-artist (Reynolds), and it's probably not a huge leap to suggest the trio end up reluctantly teaming together to bring down a bigger mutual foe.

Whether this ends up being another underwhelming Netflix Original or truly delivers a multiplex-worthy event movie at home day-and-date, it's tough not to be seduced by the A-list trio at the forefront.

Red Notice will release on November 12.
