20 Most Anticipated Netflix Originals For The Rest Of 2020

The rest of 2020 has plenty to look forward to at home.

Though Hollywood is slowly preparing to return to "normal" as cinemas begin to re-open in many quarters of the world, for many the convenience of at-home streaming will leave them waiting a little while before venturing back to the dark confines of a communal big-screen experience.

Between the bevy of streaming options available to customers these days, there's certainly no lack of content for the foreseeable future, as made abundantly clear by Netflix above all others.

The king of the streaming platforms has a healthy platter of movies either ready to be released or in late stages of post-production as we speak, such that the rest of 2020 is in the very least jam-packed with enticing and anticipated films.

But Netflix's quantity-over-quality approach and disappointing lack of major publicity for its releases often forces viewers to separate the wheat from the chaff themselves, which can be a gargantuan task.

Yet based on the cast and crew attached and the existing critical reception from film festivals, these are the 20 upcoming Netflix Original movies you absolutely need to look out for...

20. The Babysitter: Killer Queen

The Devil All the Time Tom Holland
Netflix

Release Date: September 10

Though this sequel to 2017's cult horror hit The Babysitter sadly didn't manage to bring rising star Samara Weaving back for a second go-around, with most of the original's supporting cast returning alongside director McG, there's still solid potential for Killer Queen to be a suitably nutty follow-up.

Little is known about the plot so far, beyond protagonist Cole (Judah Lewis) having to face off against a new murderous antagonist, but if it can retain the beguiling mix of goopy gore and outrageous humour which made its predecessor such a hoot, this should be good fun.

Keep your fingers and toes crossed for a Samara Weaving cameo, too.
