20 Most Anticipated Upcoming Horror Movies

Irish director Brian O'Malley made a name for himself with 2014 horror Let Us Prey. Now, with his second feature, the filmmaker takes us into classic haunted house territory.

Set in Ireland in 1920, The Lodgers centres on a twin brother and sister (Bill Millner, Charlotte Vega) who live alone in a decrepit old mansion - except, of course, they're not entirely alone, as a malevolent force rules over their lives, forcing them to adhere to strict rules.

After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2017, The Lodgers went on to screen at a number of festivals including Screamfest in the USA, and Abertoir in Wales, where it seems to have met a largely positive response.

English actor David Bradley (known for his roles in Harry Potter, and recently Doctor Who) also appears in the film.
