And finally, nothing was ever going to top the infamous sand speech from Attack of the Clones. In what George Lucas apparently believes is a sliver of classic romantic prose, Anakin tells Padme, "I don't like sand. It's coarse, rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere. But not like you. You're everything soft...and smooth."

If any guy tried a line like this in real life, they'd probably get ghosted pretty fast, because it's such a lamely transparent attempt to be "romantic", and using his hatred of sand as a leaping-off point to compliment Padme's skin is just...wrong.

Pretty much all of the Ani-Padme romance is one big cringe, but it never, ever gets worse than this braindead attempt to fashion a love story between two actors who have no natural sexual chemistry. Christ.
