1. Crossing The Border (Sicario)
The number one most heart-pounding, tense, epic moment of 2015 was without question the border crossing of Sicario. The movie oozed tension, from its hypnotic visuals to its haunting soundtrack and this scene brought all of the suspense to a head as a team of various police officials work to cross back over from Mexico to the United States with a valuable prisoner in tow. But just as it looks like theyll get away scot-free, they reach the border to find a massive line-up of cars and groups of enemy gangsters slowly approaching. Officers get out, the music swells, and everyone waits for someone else to make a move. When the shooting finally starts, its practically a relief, and even though its over extremely quickly, having waited so long for it makes the payoff immensely satisfying. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb3J5aP0gOQ Sicario may not have been as grand in scale as some of the blockbuster epics that released this year, but this moment of the film was so monumental that it didnt matter.
