18. Superman Returns - Justice League

Justice League sure had its share of problems, but it certainly delivered an unforgettable moment when Superman (Henry Cavill) made his long-awaited red-and-blue return during the League's climactic battle against Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds)

About 10 minutes from the end of the movie, the Man of Steel finally arrives, just in the nick of time. Steppenwolf has the League in a bind and declares, "They're all too weak to see the truth", but an off-screen voice retorts, "Well, I believe in truth...", at which point Superman steps into frame and continues, "...but I'm also a big fan of justice."

Superman then annihilates Steppenwolf, freezing his axe and allowing Wonder Woman to finish him off. Oh, and if that's not cool enough, he also carries an entire apartment block to safety like it's a light afternoon jog.

This is the Superman people always wanted to see in the DCEU, and brief though his appearance was, Supes sure as hell made the most of it.
