Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code, Warcraft) has been talking up his long-gestating sci-fi project Mute for many years, such that most had assumed it would probably never get made due to funding difficulties.
However, in May, Jones confirmed Mute would start shooting in late 2016, and despite nobody outside of the production believing him, he actually stuck to his word.
Given Jones' impressive showing in the sci-fi arena so far and having roped in a fantastic cast including Alexander Skarsgård, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux, there's a lot to be excited about. Plus, Netflix acquired the rights for the movie, meaning you can watch it without leaving your bed the very day it's released.
