20 Most Horribly Misleading Movie Titles

12. Dances With Wolves

What It Sounds Like: An inter-species disco comedy with a horde of feral wolves wooing the women of a small town? As bizarre as it sounds... it also sounds like something not completely impossible. Neil LaBute rustled up some utterly terrifying animals for In The Company Of Wolves. Lars Von Trier€™s enigmatic fox in Antichrist could€™ve easily done the foxtrot (ahem) with Willem Dafoe.

What It Actually Is: But no, Dances With Wolves has very little to do with dancing or wolves. A period piece set in the wild west of the 1800s, Kevin Costner€™s Union Army lieutenant travels to a distant outpost and befriends a tribe of Indians. The title emerges after the Sioux tribesmen spy him clowning around, and dub Costner€™s character €˜Dances With Wolves€™.

What It Should Have Been Called: Frontier
