20 Most Horribly Misleading Movie Titles

4. The Silence Of The Lambs

What It Sounds Like: This Oscar-winning pits quite the image when you realise afterwards what the title is really about. €œThe Lambs€ - are they a gang in a crime-stricken city in possession of a powerful secret/horde of guns? Do they indeed require silencing? While there€™s a lot of crime going on, it€™s got nothing to do with keeping a bunch of goodfellas quiet.

What It Actually Is: The now-classic film by Jonathan Demme does allude to the title. When cross-examined by Lecter, Clarice tells him a personal story about her upbringing on her aunt and uncle€™s farm. Her foiled attempt to rescue a lamb before it went to slaughter forges the basis of Lecter€™s future communications. However, it€™s not really got anything to do with the plot.
