What It Sounds Like: Finally, the BBC Films biopic the green-fingered minority had been waiting for. Alan Titchmarshs life story adapted for the big screen with the tagline He wont put the trowel down. EVER. As excited as people were at the prospect of the above flick - The Constant Gardener has a very tenuous link to actual horticulture.
What It Actually Is: Based on John Le Carres novel, the titular gardener, Justin Quayle (Ralph Fiennes) only engages in said activity very briefly. The whole film follows him on a quest to unravel his wifes murder after she is killed for exposing a life-threatening pharmaceutical. From time-to-time he potters with a few houseplants. Its not constant by any definition.
