19. Ice Age: Collision Course

Release Date: July 22, 2016 All things considered, the Ice Age franchise has been pretty consistent over the years, which means that the arrival of a fifth movie in 2016 doesn't warrant quite as many sighs as the arrival of another film in a more incidental animated franchise might well do. Granted, Ice Age: Collision Course appears to be the most "far out" chapter in the series so far, it featuring a plot triggered by - wait for it - Scrat going into space and setting off a chain of events that really won't bode well for our well-worn heroes. Still, it's been three years since the last film, and if this one shapes up to be as good as any of the others, then that's probably the best one could hope for - especially after five films (the most in any animated franchise, don't you know?). One word of warning, though: it will feature a called "Shangri Llama," an addition which will plainly make or break the movie.
