Release Date: May 6, 2016 Who isn't psyched to see Captain America: Civil War, then? Who isn't practically quivering in a state of utter elation at the thought of sitting down to see this motion picture play out? Forget that this is a Captain America movie; it's a landmark entry in the Marvel canon, and arguably the most important film in the franchise to date. Captain America and Iron Man are set to come to blows as the superhero landscape is shaken and stirred beyond measure, forcing friends to become foes (which translates as: lots of awesome action sequences, shocking twists at every turn, and a whole new direction for the MCU at large). Then you throw in the promise of Spider-Man, who will make his MCU debut in this picture, and new additions such as Black Panther and Helmut Zemo, and you've got yourself a movie that threatens to explode under the weight of its own inherent brilliance. Is there a chance this could be a dud? Of course... and yet, unlike with Batman v Superman, there are few signs pointing to such a thing actually happening. May 6 really can't come any faster.
