20 Most Hotly-Anticipated Movie Sequels Coming In 2016
14. Inferno
Release Date: October 14, 2016 Despite the fact that the other movies in this scattershot franchise were plainly horrible, Inferno - the third film in the "Robert Langdon Looks At Ancient Symbols" series helmed by Ron Howard - is set to be released in 2016 and - for fans of both Dan Brown and bad wigs - it's deemed to be something of a rather anticipated movie, apparently. Tom Hanks makes anything worthwhile, of course, so here's hoping that he can make Inferno - based on the laborious book of the same name - into something worth forking out £12 for. He's joined this time by Felicity Jones, a lovely actress if ever there was one, in a movie with a plot that has Langdon - and his hairpiece - "awakening in a hospital room in Florence, Italy, with no memory of what has occurred for the last few days." There's not a lot of hope riding on the fact that Inferno will be any good, of course, but it will probably pull in the punters - and thus the money - to great and noticeable amounts. Still, this is not a movie you anticipate as much as one that you foresee and cower beneath.
