Release Date: June 10, 2016 The Conjuring had all the makings of a terrible movie: it was a low-budget horror, with a plot built around paranormal investigators, courtesy of a relatively hit and miss director. It was somewhat shocking to discover, then, that The Conjuring wasn't just another uninspired horror flick, but a rather good one. Which means this year's sequel is wholly welcome. That's right: The Conjuring 2, also directed by James Wan (who helmed the first), hits theatres later in the year, and will see Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reprising their roles from the original flick. Interestingly, the plot this time takes the protagonists to a council estate in Enfield, which is about as unpredictable a story as you could possibly imagine. James Wan is on a role lately, having delivered the awesome Furious 7 (which got him Star Trek Beyond). If his recent efforts are anything to go by, not to mention the strength of the first Conjuring flick, The Conjuring 2 is definitely 2016's hot horror movie to anticipate.
