3. It: Chapter Two

Release Date: September 6

Billed As: 27 years after the events of the first movie, the Losers’ Club have grown up and moved away from Derry, Maine. However, a devastating phone call causes them to reunite and put an end to IT (Bill Skarsgård) once and for all.

Hype: Whilst Stephen King’s novel IT is a fan favourite, the two-part horror adaptation from 1990 is really dated. But the first part of the new 2017 adaptation really modernised the iconic story and brought to life Pennywise the Dancing Clown for a new generation.

It: Chapter One was also praised for its remarkable child cast including Sophia Lillis (Sharp Objects) and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things). However, Chapter Two will allow us to see them all grown up with another great set of actors including James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader. Seeing their adult counterparts face off with IT is something that we can’t wait for.

There’s no doubt that the second installment should deliver the last half of the story just as terrifying as it did the first. The hype is still strong even though the trailer hasn’t even been released yet. The two year wait will be over in just four months, so watch out for the red balloons and stay away from drains in the meantime.
