Hype: Ari Aster’s Hereditary was truly a remarkable slice of original horror, inspired by many of Aster’s favourite horror movies from over the years. His feature-length sophomore movie Midsommar is highly anticipated, as many fans have become obsessed with his horrifying mind.

Just with Hereditary, the eerie trailer for Midsommar doesn’t give too much away which seems like the perfect way to advertise a movie like this. Looking as though it will explore the outlandish lifestyle of those in a cult, the trailer throws out many strange and creepy sounds akin to the unnerving clucking sound in Hereditary.

Midsommar hopefully won’t disappoint in delivering a peculiar and unsettling experience to haunt our summer nights.
