20 Most Iconic Hero Introductions In Movie History

7. Marty McFly - Back To The Future

Another fresh-faced hero with an altogether different mission to accomplish than Luke Skywalker is Marty McFly from the Back To The Future series, another example of a hero around the same age as much of the target audience (a factor which surely makes their appeal more enduring). The first installment of Back To The Future sees director Robert Zemeckis using some of the tricks previously highlighted from Mad Max and The Professional - a sequence of close-ups hiding the face build up as Marty plugs his guitar into a deafening amplifier before striking a chord and being sent flying over the room. Simultaneously carefree and adventurous, Marty McFly's down-to-earth personality make his heroics all the more appealing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afwYMdN43Mc
