The Host was a gem of a monster movie which caught audiences by surprise when it was released in 2006, breaking box office records in its native territory of South Korea and building up a cult international following in next to no time. It certainly deserved the exposure and it's very rare (not to mention a pleasant surprise) to see a monster movie appearing on so many Best Films Of The Year lists.
