13. The Kraken - Clash Of The Titans (1981)

While no one in Hollywood has been foolish enough to remake Jason And The Argonauts (yet...), the same can't be said for another classic fantasy movie featuring wonderful stop motion monsters from the master of the medium, Ray Harryhausen. The Clash Of The Titans remake might have been an almost immediately forgettable affair but the original film still has a lot more in the way of personality, with a great scene featuring Perseus fighting Medusa and the jaw-dropping (when you were young, at least) finale in which the immense Kraken emerges from the depths of the ocean.
