20 Most Iconic Villain Introductions In Movie History

6. John Doe - Se7en

Like The Usual Suspects, David Fincher's Seven is another iconic thriller from the late 90s which features an award-winning turn from Kevin Spacey as a truly psychopathic villain - as with The Usual Suspects his character is revealed in real style as, in the final act, he hands himself in to the detectives who have been trying to track him down. Kevin Spacey's name was deliberately kept a secret throughout the promotional cycle leading up to the release of Seven and it's understandable why - by this point he was pretty famous and it wouldn't take too much guessing to put two and two together and figure him for the serial killer. As it stands the secretive approach payed off, and when audiences saw him walk up to detectives Somerset and Mills (Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt) covered in blood it went down as one of the most memorable villain introductions of the decade. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHOW_Fg_KZw
