3. Luke's Lightsaber
Luke Skywalker's lighsaber has been mentioned a few times in this feature already, and that's because it apparently plays a major role in The Force Awakens. Originally wielded by Anakin Skywalker in his early adventures and later used to murder dozens of young Jedis, it was lost in Cloud City when Darth Vader cut Luke's hand off in The Empire Strikes Back. Rumour has it that the movie will open with the hand and blade floating in outer space, only for it to land on the desert planet where Rey lives. That sets the events of the entire trilogy in motion, as she looks to return it to Luke Skywalker while being pursued by a dark force who want to use the crystal within to possibly unleash some sort of dark Sith entity.
