Heavily cut in the UK, whose censors took offence to a scene where a pregnant woman has the foetus torn from her womb, Anthropophagus was prosecuted under the Obscene Publications Act in 1984 when the BBC reported on accusations that it was actually a snuff movie. It isnt. Its a boring horror film about a group of idiots on a Greek island (including Tisa Farrow, Mias sister) who fall prey to a cannibalistic mutant. Also known as The Grim Reaper, The Man Eater and The Savage Island, its a chore to watch under any title.
